DINKIC: Serbia's exports at historic high in July 2013
Serbia's exports hit an all-time high in July, when the value of exported goods came close to 1,1 billion euros, said Mladjan Dinkic.
- It was worth it to revitalize the automotive industry - the outgoing finance and economy minister wrote on its Twitter profile after the Republic Statistical Office published the data about trade exchange in July.
Let us remind that Serbia had a surplus of USD 454.9 million in the trade of agricultural and food products in the first seven months of this year, down 41.4 percent from the same period last year, the data published by the Republic Statistical Office show.
- Serbia's exports grew as much as 24 percent in the first seven months of this year, while imports went up only three percent in the same period, which contributed to an increase in the export-import coverage ratio to nearly 70 percent and a decrease in the foreign trade deficit by EUR 1 billion comparing to the same period last year - the United Regions of Serbia (URS) said in a release, adding that their leader Mladjan Dinkic was to receive most of the credit for all this.
This party also noted that "all this has contributed to the balanced foreign trade between Serbia and its greatest partner - Italy, which is also one of the four most developed countries of the European Union."
- Also, Serbia has recorded a surplus in the trade with the USA this year for the first time ever, mainly thanks to Fiat 500L exports - the URS added.
