At yesterday’s session, the government of Serbia adopted amendments to the Decree on criteria, conditions and manner of calculation of receivables and liabilities between the buyer-producer and electricity supplier, which further simplified the procedure for energy production for own needs from RES.

The changes will enable additional shortening of procedures and reduction of costs for customers-producers who use the entire produced electricity only for their own consumption, and do not deliver excess energy to the transmission, distribution or closed distribution system, it is said on the website of the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

In this case, citizens or business entities with the status of a customer-producer are obliged to submit to the supplier a request for the signing of an agreement on the full supply or an agreement on the supply with previously set quantities of electrical energy for each accounting period during the period of the supply, whereby the procedure for this category is additionally simplified.
