The establishment of a new airline partially or wholly owned by the state is not likely, as the risks are very high, Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Sarec.

The creation of a new company was one of the options the Slovenian government was considering in order to ensure Slovenia's connection with the world following the bankruptcy of Adria Airways.

– There has not been any progress, as the risks are very high. In my opinion, it is not likely that we could get our own airline – Sarec told the Slovenian media on the margins of the parliament session.

According to unofficial information, the idea of the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Pocivalsek, about having a new airline established has fewer and fewer supporters.
