The Secretariat for Construction of the City of Subotica has published the Detailed Regulation Plan for a part of the area of the Cantavir settlement with the aim of defining the urban parameters of construction in this area and securing the conditions for the development of commercial features.

The plan encompasses an area of around 49 hectares, and the entire area is split into several blocks which are characteristic spatial units.

According to the document, the intention is for the conditions for the expansion of the commercial-business zone to be created and to offer locations to investors in the area regulated by the plan. In that sense, the main focus is on the areas located in the neighborhood of the former railway station Cantavir.

Also, the plan, which was prepared by the public company “JP za upravljanje putevima, urbanisticko planiranje i stanovanje”, envisages the possibility for the development of economic activities, which would incite the development of urban-economic zones, which would in turn enable a more rational use of construction land and infrastructural network.
