The Municipality of Nova Varos has opened the tender for the preparation of the technical documentation for the second phase of the works on the construction of the commercial-business-sales center Branosevac.

The subject of the procurement is the preparation of a preliminary design with a 3D presentation and projects for the construction permit and execution of works.

According to the project task, the construction of the facility has started, but only certain parts of the structure have been executed.

The facility with a gross area of around 2,600 m2 is planned to have an underground level and a ground floor. An open-space business area is planned, which could be used for storage, production, business operations, trade etc.

The facility needs to be equipped with hydrotechnical, electrical and mechanical installations (power, TC and signalization, fire alarm system, video surveillance, heating, air-conditioning and ventilation, the installation of an elevator if needed, fire fighting system, smoke and heat removal system…).

The tender lasts until August 31.

The preparatory works for the beginning of the construction of the Branosevac shopping center in Nova Varos began in 2018, and the municipality signed the agreement with the European Commission on the financing of the construction with EUR 385,000, the previous year.

The total value of the construction is EUR 590,000, and the president of the municipality, Radosav Vasiljevic, said that it was an important project for the municipality.

– The walls of the never-finished Sports Center have been an eyesore in our city for decades. We have finally found a solution for it, the project has been prepared and a modern shopping center with 3,000 square meters will be built upon those structures with the help of the Government of Serbia and the European Union. The shopping center will feature outlets which we will lease to interested employers under the condition that they employ a certain number of workers – Vasiljevic said at the time, as reported by Zlatar.info.
