Trade Unions Requesting 25% Salary Raise

In order to express their dissatisfaction with their position in the society, their work conditions and salaries, on Saturday, December 10, on the International Human Rights Day, a protest will be held in front of the Government of Serbia building, organized by the Nezavisnost Trade Union Confederation under the title “Public Sector – For Higher Salaries and Dignity of the Profession”.

As reported on the Politika daily’s website, the trade unions are requesting a 25% salary raise for all employees in the public sector, without discrimination, safe work conditions, meal allowances and vacation allowances for the entire public sector, collective contracts which will be honored.


The organizers emphasize that their requests are realistic and that they are in the interest of the workers and the trade unions, but also the state to which taxes and contributions are paid.
