Serbia and UAE Agree Establishment of “AI Bridge” for Constant Exchange of Staff

The minister without a portfolio in charge of innovations and technological development in the Government of Serbia, Nenad Popovic, talked today to the minister for artificial intelligence and digital economy of the United Arab Emirates, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama. They agreed concrete steps toward an intensification of the cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

At the meeting, it was agreed for an “Artificial Intelligence Bridge” to be established between Serbia and the UAE, which would act as a constant channel of an exchange of human resources, research and attracting investments in this field, says the announcement of the Government of Serbia.

Popovic invited Al Olama to visit Serbia.


Nenad Popovic is on an official visit to the UAE. Following the meeting with minister Al Olama, he went on to have a talk with the minister for defense affairs, Mohammed bin Ahmad al Bawardi al Falasi, about the development and implementation of innovations and new technologies in the defense industry.

They also discussed the development of systems of national cyber-security, the use of space technologies for defense purposes and the implementation of AI for defense.
