Forty-ninth FEST Begins in Belgrade – Seventy Films to Premiere by May 16

On May 7, in Belgrade, the 49th International Film Festival (FEST) began with the handing over of awards to actor Rade Serbedzija and director Purisa Djordjevic.

FEST, organized by the Center of Belgrade Festivals (CEBEF), will last until May 16, and the screenings will take place at the theaters of Sava Centar, Kombank Dvorana, the Belgrade Youth Center and Cineplex Galerija.

Seventy films of the latest world, European and local productions will be shown in seven selections, the organizers announced.


The main competition program will feature 18 films from 12 countries, among which are Tunisia, Iran, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Argentina, France, USA, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.
