POWERCHINA and Fortis Group Want to Build Cement Factory in Novi Grad
The representatives of said companies expressed their readiness and determination to invest in Republika Srpska in the field of construction and in the power sector. At the meeting, they expressed their determination to use the partnership between POWERCHINA and Fortis Group as a basis for the joint investment in the construction of a facility for the production of cement in the area of the municipality of Novi Grad, the Government of RS announced.
When it comes to the cement factory in Novi Grad, Viskovic pointed out that, during the construction, as well as the commissioning and the production, all the standards of environmental protection and preservation needed to be observed. He also emphasized that, regarding the new project, investors in Republika Srpksa had the resources and a developed road and traffic infrastructure, as well as a secure market.
The Chinese company POWERCHINA is present in BiH and the region through the partnership with local and foreign investors, especially when it comes to the construction of roads and solar and hydro power plants. The meeting was attended by the general manager of POWERCHINA for BiH, Liu Zhidong, the company’s commercial director Ye Lianqi, the chairman of the management of Fortis Group, Dragan Corokalo, and the financial director of Fortis Group, Mile Janjic.
