Application of Employers for Payment of Half of Minimum Wage Begins on March 1, Citizens to Start Applying for EUR 60 Aid from April 28

The application of employers for the payment of half the minimum wage begins on March 1, and the application for the payment of one-off aid of EUR 60 to all citizens of age begins on April 28, both within the third economy stimulus package, announced Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.

Mali, who attended the final lottery round within the “Take the Bill and Win” prize contest on RTS, said that each citizen of age would get two times EUR 30, in May and November.

He said that pensioners would get an additional EUR 50 in September, which, together with the EUR 60 aid meant for all adult citizens, makes for a total of EUR 110.

The minister said that three times 50% of the minimum wage would be meant for all micro, small, medium and large enterprises.

– Nearly a million and a half of employees would get 50% of the minimum wage in each of the three months. Also, a full minimum wage is meant for the most jeopardized sectors, tourism, hospitality, rent-a-car agencies, tourist guides – Mali said.

The minister says that the application for the three payments of 50% of the minimum wage is simple through a form available on the website of the Tax Administration.

Mali says that the third economy stimulus package also entails help to road transporters of EUR 600 per bus, as well as help to hotel owners.

The minister says that president Aleksandar Vucic has announced special help for the fellow citizens in Kosovo and Metohija.

– We will include this help in the third package – Mali adds.
