Delta to Hire Local Construction Companies for Renovation of Sava Centar – Beginning of Works Possible in Autumn 2021

Delta Holding will hire local construction companies for the renovation of Sava Centar, and the works might begin between the third and the fourth quarter of 2021, the company announces.

According to them, they are currently consulting with world architectural companies which have experience in congress tourism.

– We will try to hire local construction companies, as was the case during the construction of Delta House. Our construction companies are professional. What we don’t have, like the most modern visual technologies, we will bring from abroad – says Katarina Gajic, Planning and Construction Manager at Delta Real Estate.

The plan is for the current 16,000 m2 of commercial space to remain in Sava Centar and for all the halls, which are rather out-of-date, to be reconstructed and adapted to modern congress tourism.



– The works will take 18 to 20 months and as always we will try to meet all the deadlines – said Delta’s president, Zivorad Vasic.

Upon the completion of the works, this building, Delta says, will be energy efficient and feature a whole new façade, so that there would be more natural light in the building, but also new installations and a heating and cooling system.

Delta Holding bought Sava Centar from the City of Belgrade at the initial price of EUR 17.5 million. The sale of the biggest congress center in Serbia took place on November 9 through the method of public bidding.
