Tendering for Construction of Stadiums in Three Cities Opens – Zajecar, Leskovac and Loznica First to Get New Complexes

Zajecar, Leskovac and Loznica are the first cities to get new stadiums in Serbia. The Office for Public Investment Management has opened a public procurement procedure for the Development of a project for the execution of works, execution of works and development of a project for the construction of facilities of city stadiums, divided into three lots. The most expensive one, according to the estimate, will be the Kraljevica stadium in Zajecar, worth RSD 2.81 million, followed by Lagator in Loznica, worth RSD 2.5 billion, and Dubocica in Leskovac, estimated at slightly over RSD 2 billion without VAT.

As the Office for Public Investment Management told eKapija, the public procurement procedure is carried out in line with the agreement on the joint execution of the public procurement with the cities of Leskovac, Zajecar and Loznica.

Bids may be submitted by December 8, 2020, and more details about the tender can be found HERE.

As the Office points out, the decision on the awarding of the contract will be reached within 40 days of the expiration of the bid submission deadline. The agreement with the selected bidder will be signed after the expiration of the deadline for the filing of requests for the protection of rights (that is, after the expiration of the period of 10 days from the date of the publication of the Decision on the Awarding of the Contract on the Public Procurement Portal) in line with the Law on Public Procurement Procedures. The contractor will take possession of the site after the agreement is signed.

Let us remind that new stadiums are to be built in Zajecar, Kragujevac, Loznica, Leskovac, Vranje, Kraljevo, Subotica, Novi Sad and Surcin (national stadium).


The construction of stadiums in other cities in Serbia is waiting for the financing to be provided.

– The public procurement procedures for the stadiums in other local self-government units will be initiated when the necessary funds are secured, in line with the liquidity of the budget of the Republic of Serbia – the Office says for our portal.
