Mihajlovic to Discuss Construction of 267 km of Roads with DFC on Wednesday – Talks About South Railway Too
In her statement for Tanjug, Mihajlovic reveals that she will talk to the DFC about connecting with Pristina through a total of four road routes totaling 267 kilometers.
Namely, these are the construction of the 100-km Nis-Merdare-Pristina highway, the construction of the 78-km Bujanovac-Konculj-Gnjilane-Strpce highway, the construction of the 61-km Raska-Jarinje-Kosovska Mitrovica high-speed route and the rehabilitation of the 28-km Ribarice-Brnjak-Zubin Potok road. The estimate is that the projects will require 2.18 to 2.73 billion euros.
Mihajlovic points out that the focus will be on the continuation of the financing of the highway from Nis to Merdare and Pristina, for which an additional amount of more than EUR 750 million should be secured, as well as the construction of a railway on that route.
– Our main platform are roads and railways connecting Belgrade and Pristina, and we will certainly also talk about the financing of regional projects, as well as female entrepreneurship – Mihajlovic said.
When it comes to rail connections, the project to be discussed is the 240-km Belgrade-Nis railway, for which preparatory design activities are in progress in cooperation with the Chinese partners (CRBC), and the value is around EUR 2.1 billion.
Also, the plan is for the 87-km Doljevac-Kursumlija-Merdare railway to be built, which requires around EUR 980 million.
She says that they will also talk about establishing an air line between Belgrade and Pristina and that the Serbian side will do everything in its power to have the line operated by Air Serbia and not by other airline carriers.
