Construction of COVID Hospital Begins in Belgrade – Works Worth Around EUR 27 Million
The pre-fabricated hospital in Zemun will be built on an area of 18,000 square meters, will cost 27 to 28 million euros and will be finished by December 1.
The event was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and ministers Aleksandar Vulin and Zlatibor Loncar.
– In a few months, a new modern COVID hospital will be raised here, but it is also a hospital that will serve other important medical functions. If a vaccine appears, we don't want this facility to be left useless – Vucic said.
He added that the hospital would have 200 intensive care units and 804 semi-intensive care units and that it would feature state-of-the-art equipment, mostly Draeger's, namely respirators, X-ray devices and scanners.
As he says, four Serbian companies are raising the facility together, and the guarantee for this pre-fabricated hospital is 30 years.
