To mark the World Sushi Day that traditionally takes place on June 18, the Buddha-Bar Belgrade restaurant is celebrating Japanese cuisine from June 15-21.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the gastronomic ritual of OMAKASE, with the restaurant's chef, Drazen Papic, making a selection of sushi creations for all the aficionados of this Far Eastern tradition and culture.

History says that sushi bars in Japan featured no written menus. Instead, guests would say “omakase”, translated as “trust” or “I’ll leave it up to you” and representing the trust a guest has in chef working on the meal.

Fresh ingredients are imperative, and a 70 kg tuna arrives to the restaurant within 24 hours of being caught, preserving all the characteristics that make its meat one of the healthiest.

The delicately created Omakasa portions for two or more guests are guaranteed to make an impression on everyone.
