Last year, a total of 2,298 tons of honey, worth EUR 8,994,900, was exported from Serbia, according to the Association of Beekeeping Organizations of Serbia (SPOS).

At the same time, only 49 tons of honey was imported in that period, “mostly exotic kinds”, worth a total of EUR 264,000, SPOS says on its website.

According to this organization's data, the export of honey has been growing since 2004, when Serbia obtained the exporting number for the export of honey to the EU.

Still, last year, 446 tons less was exported compared to 2018.
