What will summer vacation look like this year? - New rules in hotels, spa centers and at pools
When it comes to hotels, disinfection barriers at all entrances are mandatory. Also, in front of each elevator or smaller room, notifications about the maximum number of people allowed should be displayed, so that the measure of personal distance could be maintained. When it comes to the members of a single family or guests in the same accommodation unit, depending on the size of the elevator, it may be allowed to increase the number of people. Contactless dosage dispensers with disinfectants based on 70% alcohol should be installed in front of elevators.
Everyone who stays at the hotel, employees and guests, are recommended to wear protective masks, whereas employees are also advised to wear gloves.
Room cleaning should be carried out in line with the existing procedures, with the possibility of adjustment in agreement with the guests. All surfaces that are frequently touched (nightstands, tables, chairs, phones, remote controls, door handles, switches etc.) and especially bathrooms, need to be cleaned thoroughly after the guests check out and before new ones check in. Used sheets need to be packed in special bags, and special care should be taken for them not to mix with clean sheets/towels, especially if there are no separate carts for clean and dirty laundry.
When it comes to the operations of hotel restaurants, they are not recommended to serve food through buffets.
Hotels are recommended to regularly air the rooms exclusively by opening the windows, without the use of ventilation or air-conditioning systems of centralized closed type.
Distance crucial in pools and spa centers
As masks get wet and lose their protective properties quickly in pools and spa zones, it is especially important to keep the recommended distance of two meters there. Employees who used to do jobs which required gloves even before the epidemic are recommended to keep using them.
The number of people in a pool, the area around the pool or a spa zone is calculated so as to enable the maintenance of the recommended distance.
Showering before entering and after leaving the pool is mandatory, as is the use of the installed disinfection barriers before entering the pool. Users must also wear caps.
It is recommended for cafeterias and similar spaces where water, juices or food are served, and which are located within a spa zone or near a pool, not to work until further notice.
Also, the use of wet saunas is not recommended, whereas dry saunas (for example, of the Finnish type) can be used.
