CCIS: Each Third Company in Serbia Loses 80% of the Income
The director of the Sector for Strategic Analyses, Services and Internationalization of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), Mihailo Vesovic, said this in his interview for Magazin Biznis.
He said that a survey by the CCIS had shown that, by the end of March, each third company had estimated a loss in income of over 80%, and each second over 50%.
He pointed out that the world was facing an unprecedented global crisis, that the entire economic system was paralyzed and that “the economy of Serbia is also facing numerous problems: from delays and cancellations of orders, the problem of non-liquidity, ban on operations...”
– The first to be affected were tourism, hospitality and passenger traffic, which practically no longer function. With time, the crisis has affected the manufacturing industry too, so numerous companies have stopped or reduced the production activities – Vesovic emphasized.
