Nis Airport to expand to another 5,000 m2 and get passenger VIP salon – Tendering procedure for designer opens
According to the documentation, the building of the Nis Airport should get several check in counters for the registration of passengers and luggage with an adequate conveyor-belt transport system. It is also necessary to design the required capacities for the checking of passengers and non-passengers and their luggage in order to accelerate the flow from the public zone of the airport to the restricted and secured zone, with all the necessary features, as well as to plan an adequate increase of the capacities for customs and passport control.
– The expected critical passenger capacity of the airport terminal entails a simultaneous servicing of four aircraft of the C code. The reference is Boeing 737-800 (189 seats), with an average number of passengers of 151 per operation on the basis of the average occupancy factor of 0.8. In line with that, it is required for the capacity of the airport to enable the servicing of passengers at the load of a total of 604 arriving passengers + 604 departing passengers – the documentation reads.
The project should envisage an increase of the capacities in all the segments of the passenger flow: the esplanade, entrances to the hall, the hall, check in counters, the access control space, the passenger and luggage checking space, the customs control, the passport control, the waiting rooms for arrivals and departures, the gates, the luggage pickup area, the sorting area, jet bridges...
Furthermore, the Nis Airport will also offer new features, which should increase the level of the service, such as a commercial features area, a VIP salon and a clinic.
The new facility will be a ground-floor extension of the existing one on the east side, with an area of up to 38 m x 100 m and the height that needs to be adjusted to the height of the existing facility. The total area for the extension is around 5,000 m2. The area of the existing facility which is to be adapted is 1,336 m2 on the ground floor, 785 m2 on the upper floor in the administrative section, plus a restaurant of 384 m2.
The new facility should fit architecturally with the existing one and match the facade of the terminal building.
At least one jet bridge needs to be planned within the new facility, with all the accompanying features.
The bid submission deadline is January 30, 2020.
