Serbia is no longer a country of cheap workforce and this can no longer be cited as its comparative advantage in attracting foreign investments, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said in Pancevo and added that the country was working on bringing as many innovative companies as possible.

– There are already several development centers in Serbia, and a French company will establish another one in Novi Sad after New Year. We are planning the construction of 10 regional training centers throughout Serbia, and one of them will be at the Pancevo School of Mechanical Engineering – she announced and reminded that Serbia provided special incentives for companies which invest in development.

The Government of Serbia, she added, will support the construction of a 1,800-m2 workshop at the school, as well as the procurement of modern equipment.

She pointed out that the Pancevo School of Mechanical Engineering, which she has visited, was one of the good examples, as it cooperated with state companies, Utva and the Pancevo Refinery, and foreign companies, ZF and Brose, whereas the German MTU was also interested in cooperating on educating the future workforce.
