First biomass power plant operating in Boljevac – Drakulic says company satisfied
– Since we are constantly producing heat which we use to dry wood, we have raised a facility where electricity is produced from waste wood. It’s a little thermal power plant where, from 8 MW of heat, we get 2.4 MW of electricity from renewable sources – Drakulic told eKapija.
A pellet factory and a facility producing pellet packaging also operate within the company in Boljevac.
– We are satisfied with our operations and the facility is working as planned. We are waiting for the next year to see the first results – Drakulic says.
Let us remind that the construction of the biomass-fueled power plant began in late 2017, when it was announced that 80 people would be employed and that around 300 subcontractors would be hired as well.
