Croatia to get another seven solar power plants
Three solar power plants are planned in the vicinity of the City of Benkovac.
The 38 MW Kolarina solar power plant would cover 62 hectares and the expected production of electricity is 64.2 GWh per year. The application was submitted by SE Kolarina. The 60 MW Benkovac power plant would span 100 hectares, with the application submitted by Aureus Solis. The expected generation of electricity is not specified. The third, 41 MW Raštević solar PV plant would cover 66 hectares, while the expected production is 69.5 GWh. The application was submitted by SE Raštević.
RP Global Projekti plans to build an 18 MW Novalja solar power plant on the island of Pag with the expected annual production of 18.5 MWh, Vladimir Spasić writes for the Balkan Green Energy News portal.
The Pometeno Brdo (50 MW), Tijarica (20 MW) and Tarabnik (30 MW) solar PV plants are planned in the Splitsko-Podravska County. The Pometeno Brdo power plant would span 88 hectares and the expected production of electricity is 95 GWh, while the application was submitted by the company ENCRO ZD2.
The Tiarica and Tarabnik power plants will cover 82 hectares and produce 95 GWh, reads the application submitted by Vrtača.
Similar applications have already been submitted by HEP for the construction of two 95 MW solar power plants. HEP intends to invest EUR 100 million in solar energy by 2023.
