Lesnina to open department stores in Belgrade and Nis – Construction to start in 2020

The furniture trader Lesnina XXXL returned to the Serbian market with the opening of a department store in Novi Sad, and the construction of facilities in Nis and Belgrade is expected soon, the company’s director for Serbia, Aleksandar Pavicevic, told eKapija.

– The preliminary designs are there, and we are currently preparing the projects so as to apply for building permits. The urban project for Nis has been prepared and confirmed, whereas the location in Belgrade is awaiting a detailed regulation plan – Pavicevic told our portal.

According to him, the department store in Nis should take up 15,000 m2 in the first phase, and the Office for Local Economic Development and Projects of Nis says that the expected value of the investment is EUR 15 million.

Also, as the Office told our portal, the department store in Nis will be built in Nikola Tesla Blvd, on the parcel north of the EKO gas station, and the construction should start in 2020.

Pavicevic points out that the department stores in Belgrade and Nis will also be built in attractive, easily accessible location along the main traffic routes.

Let us remind that Lesnina XXXL opened its first sales center in Serbia after more than two decades on May 14, 2019. The construction of the facility in Novi Sad is a part of the initial investment of around EUR 20 million and has enabled the creation of more than 150 new jobs.
