Western Balkans Prime Ministers attend Vienna Economic Forum on May 17 and 18 in Sofia
PMs and representatives of regional economies of the rest of the Western Balkan countries will also attend the forum.
The conference follows the EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia on May 17 which will feature discussions on establishing links within the regional countries and also between the region and EU in transport, energy, digital economy, and establishing better interpersonal contacts and tackling common challenges of migration and terrorism together.
VEF conference will open with an informal gathering of the high representatives in politics and economy including the president of. Serbian Association of Economists Aleksandar Vlahovic. Conference topics will also include the Sub-Region Western Balkans: Reality and Expectation – who takes the Responsibility and the Role of Investments for Growth and Stability
Vienna Economic Forum wants to build a bridge between the Bulgarian EU-Presidency and the following Austrian EU-Presidency in the second half of 2018, the event press release states.
The event organizers announce among others the following speakers at the conference: Ana Brnabic, Bulgarian Foreign Minister and Deputy EU Chairman Ekaterina Zaharieva, Bulgarian Boyko Borisov, Albanian PM Edi Rama, Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev, Montenegro PM Dusko Markovic and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic.
