Maryland-based company Freytech gifts Serbia two land decontamination devices

The American company Freytech has gifted Serbia two devices for land decontamination. One is meant for the Environmental Protection Agency, whereas the other one will be given to one of the institutes performing land quality testing.

– The land quality regulation device eliminates harmful matters, even arsenic, and is used in over 20 countries – said David Robert, a representative of the Maryland-based company Freytech.

The director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Filip Radovic, said that the establishment of cooperation with the USA in the field of environmental protection was “a historical step for Serbia”.

– The device is revolutionary and efficiently decontaminates land – Radovic said.

Minister of Environmental Protection Goran Trivan said that Maryland was the leading state in the USA in the implementation of environmental protection standards.

– The American companies we have established contact with since January 2017 have shown great interest in cooperation in the field of environmental protection – waste management, land remediation and water treatment – Trivan said and added that concrete negotiations about investments of American companies and joint investments in Serbia in the field of ecology were to follow.

According to him, in the upcoming years, Serbia will need EUR 15 billion in investments in environmental protection.
